So much stuff

So I traded some tools I wasn’t using to a guy who had a “bunch” of cards and stuff to trade. I was mostly after some O-Pee-Chee Hockey cards, but got a lot more in the process.

Here’s a look at the total pile.

Here’s a look at what was in the first box….

Non-card stuff

1 – 2002 Canada Men’s Olympic Hockey – Mario Lemieux Bobblehead. Surprisingly this is my first ever Bobblehead.

1 – 2000 Canada Men’s National team – 1:50 scale Zamboni replica. Not my thing, anyone want to trade for it?

2 –  ticket stubs (original) Winnipeg Jets vs Vancouver Canucks – Apr. 7, 1995  – apparently it was a high scoring game the Jets won 7-4. Not even a special game, and not special tickets. Just computer printed out. Any fans/collectors want it?

A random stack of cards including:

Baseball

18 – 1995 Upper Deck Sports Drink Reggie Jackson . Of these 9 are card #1 with the signature, 8 are card #1 without the signature (variation?) and there is 1 card #3 so not even 1 complete set. All the cards are still in the plastic wrappers. Will be added to my traders.

2- 1995 Upper Deck Collectors Choice Special Edition. Thats a mouthful to say. Both in plastic wrappers. Not sure how these were distributed? Will be added to my traders.

1- 1989 Topps Big. Otis Nixon, not sure why they are called Big? They seem the same as size as other cards. Will be added to my traders.

1 – 1992 Donruss McDonalds  complete set (including Blue Jays Gold Series). Will be added to my traders.

Hockey

67 – 1994-95 Upper Deck McDonalds (uggh, so many of them exist). Will be added to my traders.

21 – 1995-96 Pinnacle McDonalds (uggh, not as many as the Upper Deck but still too many). Will be added to my traders.

12 – 2000-01 Pacific McDonalds , ok I don’t see as many of these so many not so bad. Will be added to my traders.

3 – 1991-92 O-Pee-Chee, ok I love O-Pee-Chee but this has to be one of the most overproduced sets ever. Will be added to my traders.

1- 1991-92 Upper Deck – Felix “The Cat” Potvin (added to trade pile)

1- 1992-93 Upper Deck – Felix “The Cat” Potvin (added to trade pile)

1 – 1992-93 Parkhurst – Felix “The Cat” Potvin (added to trade pile)

1 – 1992-93 Upper Deck McDonalds – Complete Set, sharing a binder with the Donruss McDonalds set. Will be added to my traders.

Football

1 –  1991 All-World CFL. Complete Set 110 Cards.  Made to capitalize on the signing of Rocket Ismail to the Toronto Argonauts, another massively overproduced for the market set. There is no other reason for this set to exist. Will be added to my traders.

Magazines, programs and other paper stuff

2 – 1992 World Series Official Souvenir Scorebook

2- 1993 World Series Official Souvenir Scorebook

1 – 1992 American League Championship (Blue Jays vs Athletics) Scorebook

1 – 2001 Toronto Blue Jays Program Issue 1 (vs Athletics)

1 – 1991 Toronto Blue Jays Program  (vs Tigers)

1 – 1993 Toronto Blue Jays Program  (Summer Edition Volume 17, Issue 2)

1 – 1993 Seattle Mariners Roster Sheet with 1992 Chronology on reverse

1 – 1989 Leaf/Donruss Warren Spahn Puzzle Assembled from inserts

1 – 1993 Toronto Blue Jays Pocket Schedule

1- Darkhorse Comics Promo Poster

1 – 1992-93 Phoenix Suns Program, with Topps Basketball Promo Sheet

1 – 1992-93 Indiana Pacers? Program

1 – 1992-93 Chicago Bullpen/Game Program (Michael Jordan Cover)

1 – March 1993 Beckett Basketball Guide

Some various trading card supplies (top loaders, cases and penny sleeves) – always helpful to have around

So, overall some pretty cool stuff in box #1. Most of this will end up being traded or given away. Anything catch your eye please let me know.

Topps Big was definitely bigger than standard cards. Not a lot bigger, mind you, but the size of 1952-1956 Topps and Bowman.

    • I’ll have to take a closer look. Ther seem to be a bunch of them in another box.
