Looking back I have noticed that my last several posts were all Baseball related. It’s time to get back to my preferred sport – Hockey.

As stated my goal is to complete all OPC bases sets. So far I have done a pretty good job at finishing off from about 1975 to 2000. O-Pee Chee went through a bunch of changes in who held the name at the beginning of this century, but I’ve stuck with them up to today even now that they are really Upper Deck.

Before OPC started issuing in the late 60’s the cards in Canada were either Topps or Parkhurst (not the Pro-set brand) back to the 50’s.

For those cards I’ll collect anything and everything but not much has come up in yard sales lately.

Once card that did come up, is the oldest card in my hockey collection. It’s also a filler card as the condition is not what I would like, but for a card from the 1963-64 Parkhurst set, I’m fairly happy with it.

Here it is.  1963-64 Parkhurst  Bob Pulford.

The oldest card I currently have.

Just got back from 2 weeks vacation and was happy to see a bubble wrap envelope in my mail pile. It was from Josh at and it contained what he mentioned would be a “tour of the 70’s” in baseball form.

Being a newer baseball collector everything he sent me was great and needed but what really made me smile was this.

A 1971 Astros Jack Hiatt.

I’ve seen this design on some of the recent inserts, but this now sets a record for the oldest single Baseball card I have. I know this might not be very impressive to a lot of people, but to me it is.

Thanks Josh.
